Objective:
Be the first team to get three people in a row.
Items Needed:
Chairs, 2 Different Colors of Paper, Area
How To Play:
Divide into two groups. It doesn’t matter the number just so they are even or close as possible.(We divided into four groups 2 guys groups and 2 girls groups, but for sake of illustrating the rules I will use just a two group format. Just double the rules and make a tic tac toe for both sets.) Line up both groups on either side of the group of 9 chairs that you have set up. The chairs should be placed like a tic tac toe board in 3 rows of 3. Once both teams are lined up on opposite sides of the tictactoe Chairs give each player a number. If one team has more players then just give players from the team with less double numbers until you reach the same amount of numbers.
The game is simple – First team to get three of their teammates in a row and holding up their piece of paper wins the round. Players cannot go until their number is called. The game host shouts out a random number and the player for both teams who had their number called must go sit in a chair.
For the first contestant to run out they CANNOT SIT IN THE ROW CLOSEST TO THEM (THEY MUST PICK EITHER THE MIDDLE OR FURTHEST ROW). After the first player has gone, then it doesn’t matter what chair the players go to. Here is where it gets crazy. The game host can call out any number at any time. So you call call them quick in sequence or take it slow up to you, but only the players who’s numbers you call are able to participate in the round. At any time during the round, players who are seated may move to different seats, so it is not like a player is stuck in one place the whole round they can shift and move to help get their team into winning position.
MAJOR RULES: No two players can sit in the same chair. The first one sitting get to stay. If the second person try’s to get to the chair and pushes the person out of the chair then the kid who got there second and pushed; not only cannot sit their, but also they are eliminated and must go back to the start to wait for their number to be called again. IF THE TWO PLAYERS COLLIDE BEFORE ONE PLAYER IS CLEARLY IN THE SEAT, THEN THEY ARE BOTH OUT. First team to get three in a row wins the round. Go until a time or a set number of rounds. We did about 15 rounds in about 20 minutes.
