Many are living in a dark place of deep hurt right now. If that is you, please know you are NOT alone! God cares about you, and there are caring people God has placed around you to help heal the hurts in your life. BEWARE of pouring out your heart to people on social media and chat rooms – there are predators looking for the wounded people to prey upon! It seems safe and anonymous, but it can come back to haunt you.
Jesus came to help and heal up the broken in heart. (Luke 4:18-19) Jesus can help us like no one else can, because He did for us what no one else could. (Read Isaiah 53) In Psalm 147 God shows us three reasons why God can and will help us with our wounds:
1. He Knows (147:4-5)
No one knows the hurts of your heart like the one who made it. God knows the number and names of the all the stars, and He
knows the deep things of our heart too.
2. He Can (147:5a)
Not only does God know, but God is also able to do what no one else can do – He can do anything and everything! Take your hurts
and heartaches to the Lord, He CAN help!
3. He Cares (147:3 & 6a)
It’s one thing to know that God knows, and that He’s able, but everything changes when we understand that God really, truly
and deeply cares, and He wants to help and heal our wounded hearts.
