Isaiah 12:3 “Therefore with joy how you draw water out of the wells of Salvation.”
This verse harks back to the preceding verse. There we are told that God is our salvation and that Jehovah is our strength. As a child of God, I can draw water from the wells of salvation.
Jesus told the woman of Samaria that if she would drink of the water that He would give, she would never thirst again (John 4:14). While Jesus was on the cross, He cried, “I thirst.” He bore our sins, and He bore our thirst. Now all who thirst can come to Him and drink.
Jesus spoke of the well of salvation, but there are other wells. There is a well of victory for those who had feel defeated. There’s a well of peace for those who are in turmoil. There is a well of contentment for those who can find no rest There is a well of assurance for those who are uncertain. There is a well of joy for those who are sad of heart, and there are many other wells from which to drink.
