1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Are you Rapture Ready? I mean, are your bags packed, flight booked, lose ends all tied up, and you are set to go RIGHT NOW? I remember coming home from school one day when I was in middle school only to find that the house was unlocked and no one was home. This was extremely unusual as, at that time, someone in my family was home before me (probably because they didn’t trust that I wouldn’t burn the house down or something like that). I called out and no one answered. I looked outside, in the garage, and around the yard calling and calling to see if they were just out of my sight. No one answered. I started to get panicked, so I went tearing through the entire house room by room looking for them. After searching the entire house from the basement to the attic calling for anyone to answer me and not finding any signs of anyone, I was officially FREAKING OUT! I remember the cold sweat of terror of the thought that hit me next: I missed the rapture!! Oh no,I’m doomed! I remember tears running down my face and pleading with God to take me too. I confessed every sin that I had ever committed and some of the ones that I had given some serious thought about committing, and everything else that I was sorry for. Just then I heard the sound of car tires coming up our gravel driveway. I tore out of the house and saw my dad and siblings getting out car. I threw my arms around my family so excited to see them and that I didn’t miss the rapture! They were not sure of why I was so excited to see them, as they had just ran to the store and forgot to leave a note. Though much time has passed since that day, I decided that I never want to live my life any other way than Rapture Ready. How about you, are you living Rapture Ready?
