Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God loves you so much, He sent his son to die on the cross so that we might have eternal life. “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:10 God’s Love in Unconditional and Perfect, because He is Perfect. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 No matter the choices I make, God still loves me. I don’t have to live in fear that I can make God stop loving me, I am not that powerful. He is my Heavenly Father, and just like my parents no matter the choices I make whether Good or Bad, they will never stop loving me. Now, the decisions I make may bring disappointment or loss of fellowship, but never Lack of Love. I think the Better question as Christians is, Do we Love God? God tells us how we know if we love God. “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3
I show that I love God when I obey Him and do what He says in His Word. The things I do and don’t do. The places I go and don’t go. The words I say and don’t say. The things I wear and don’t wear. Whether I read my Bible or I pray. All those things don’t bring me salvation. They show my love💗. God even tells us His commandments are not grievous. They are not to cause us pain or suffering. He knows what sin costs. He knows what pain it causes. We doubt God’s Love, but His love never changes; He is Love. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8
As a child of God, wouldn’t you want to be in close fellowship with Him who saved you from Hell? As a Christian, don’t you want to show the Lord you Love Him? As much as I want to please my parents and show them that I love them, what about my Heavenly Father? “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,” Ephesians 2:4
