Psalms 116:9 “I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.”
A spiritual leader must live by spiritual decisions. I’m going to the let the Psalmist write the devotion today. This was a spiritual man, and he lays out for us in Psalm 116 Ten Spiritual decisions. I encourage you to read each verse in its fullness to understand what he is saying. The spiritual leader will decide:
- I will LOVE the Lord – vs. 1 I love the LORD…
- I will ENDURE through Trouble – vs. 3 ….I found trouble and sorrow.
- I will PRAY – vs. 4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD…
- I will RELY on God – vs. 6 and 7 …and he helped me.
- I Will WALK with God – 9 I will walk before the LORD…
- I Will BELIEVE God & SPEAK for Him (no matter the consequences) – vs. 10 I believed, therefore
- Have I spoken…
- I Will Do what is RIGHT – vs. 14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD…
- I Will be a SERVANT for God (Not a Show Pony) – vs. 16 …truly I am thy servant;
- I Will be THANKFUL – vs. 17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving…
- I Will be in God’s HOUSE with God’s PEOPLE – vs. 18 and 19 …in thepresence of all his people, 19 In the courts of the LORD’S house…
