When Will You Know?

2 Chronicles 33:13 “And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.”

Manasseh finally knew the Lord was God after punished him

Manasseh made a mistake. Manasseh was a mess. Manasseh was a moro.. well you get the idea. Interesting fact: Manasseh had the longest reign, 55 years, of any king of Judah (or of Israel for that matter). He came to the into the kingdom at great time. His father Hezekiah had revived the kingdom, with God’s help of course, and it was a time of great prosperity. Rather than taking the fantastic spring board of his father’s faithfulness to greater heights he abused God’s graciousness and used the peace and prosperity for his personal pleasures (boy that sounds familiar today now doesn’t it!). God spoke to him. God reached out to him, but Manasseh would not listen. God will not be mocked, nor will He let His children go unpunished, so He brought punishment and pain to Manasseh’s life to bring him to his senses and back to God. (ahem, anyone listening out there?!)
