2 Chronicles 16:9a “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”

There was a time in my life when the thought of the Lord looking down from Heaven terrified me. It terrifies a lot of other people too; that’s why bars are dark, drug houses are dark, and sin runs rampant at night. In vain, they are trying to hide what they are doing from the all-seeing eyes of God. Darkness hides things from the eyes of men, but not from God. Truth is, when you are living in sin, you don’t want God to see you; but when you are living in faith, you want God watching over you!

The prophet told Asa that God is looking every day all over this planet for somebody who is wanting and expecting Him to help them. I want to be that someone! I want God to look down from the lofty heights of glory, all the way through the vast expanse of the universe, and see me and say to Himself, “Now there is a guy who is at least trying to do something for me! I think I’ll help him out”. Wow, what a thought! God is looking to show Himself strong in my life. He’s looking at you too. Why not give God a chance to prove Himself real and powerful in your life? God is not nervous about you putting Him to the test. Go ahead. I dare you. Try it. Say to God, “God, I’m here and I want to do right and live right and I am trusting you to work my life out!” God won’t let you down. Now keep in mind that God’s not your sugar-daddy nor is He your genie in a magic lamp. This isn’t about getting your way; this is about you getting God’s way and accomplishing the purpose for which you were created.
