2 Kings 19:1 And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

If you didn\u2019t read yesterday\u2019s devotion, take a minute to scan it over so you are all caught up. Yesterday we learned that the Devil wants to make us a bad deal and ruin our lives. Now please understand that the devil is not going to come to you and say, \u201cNow listen, I\u2019m the Devil ok, and if you agree with me this is going to trash your life and leave you scarred.\u201d No, he is much more subtle than that. He hides in the shadows and lets us think that maybe this is our idea or the reasonable way out. He makes his offer seem like the best way to fix the issue at hand. Hezekiah was a good and wise man, and this was a tough decision. He had seen the destruction of refusing the king of Assyria and honestly other than God he had no hope. Hezekiah does seven smart things in responding to the Devil\u2019s Deal and we should too:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Understand you are at a Serious Crossroad (vs. 1)
2. Take your Problems to the Lord (vs. 2)
3. Pray for God\u2019s Help and Deliverance (vs. 15-19)
4. Get Help from Others (vs. 2-5)
5. Expect the Devil to Keep up the Pressure (vs. 8-13)
6. Trust the Lord to Answer your Prayers (19:6-7)
7. Wait on God to Work Things Out (vs. 29)

Over and over again the Devil, through Sennacherib kept saying \u201cDon\u2019t believe God!\u201d well we need to say \u201cNo Devil, I don\u2019t believe your lies! I\u2019m not taking the Devil\u2019s Deal for my life!\u201d Never accept the Devil\u2019s Deal for your life. Our response is key to turning down the devil\u2019s deal<\/p>\n\n\n\n
