Numbers 32:23\u00a0\u201cBut if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the\u00a0Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.\u201d
<\/em><\/strong>
It is while the prophet Moses is dealing, under the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit, with \u201cThe Reassurance\u201d that a person reads a strong warning that falls from the lips of the man of God upon the ears of the people of God (Verse 23).
G. Campbell Morgan once wrote about our text , \u201cNo policy of compromise can ever justify a modification of a divine method toward the accomplishment of a divine purpose.\u201d Mark it down: Borderline leaning always leads to borderline living. Friend, you and I (those of us that are saved) need to realize that private sin is going to bring public scandal! There are three places where sin will eventually be perceived:
1. THE HEARTH<\/strong>
A place where sin blows the whistle and is always perceived is the hearth.(Gen 13:12) Brother Lot\u2019s wrong decision to put his cattle before his children turned out to be one of the saddest tragedies on the pages of the Scriptures. (Gen.19:32) For the sake of your children, and one day your grandchildren, keep the Bible the bedrocj of your home and run Beelzebub out of the back door of your house!
2. THE HEART<\/strong>
A place where sin blows the whistle and is always perceived is the heart. (Judges 14:2) Brother Samson\u2019s wrong desire for a wife outside of the faith will follow him all the way to the Philistine\u2019s prison house. (Judges 16:21) If you will guard your spiritual ticker you\u2019ll never have to worry about going down the sinful trail. (Proverb 4:23)
3. THE HEREAFTER<\/strong>
A place where sin blows the whistle and is always perceived is the hereafter. (2Timothy4:10a) Brother Demas\u2019 willful departure to quit the ministry translated to disgrace at the Judgment Seat of Christ. (2 Cor. 5:10) No saint skates from unconfessed wrong, on earth or in ETERNITY. God will eventually balance the books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
