Psalm 136:1 “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
Jesus went into a certain village and there were ten lepers there in the distance. They cried to Jesus to have mercy on them and heal them. Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priests, and as they went, they were healed. Out of those ten lepers, there was only one that turned back and with a loud voice glorified God for healing him. This leper also fell down at Jesus’ feet and gave Him thanks. God cleansed him physically and spiritually. Amazing how this is so similar to today! There were ten lepers, but only one out of the ten glorified God and gave Him thanks! You shouldn’t be thankful just at Thanksgiving, but all the time. You should be thankful to the Lord for all He’s done for you! Are you thankful to others for what they do for you or what they’ve given you? There are many times that my husband, who is the Youth Pastor, and I get very discouraged because we get very few “Thank You” when we put together an activity or do something special in the teen class. It is so disheartening! Young person, have an attitude of gratitude! Think of something every day to be thankful for. When you are thankful for something every day, you will cultivate a thankful attitude!Be thankful!
