1 Chronicles 28:20 “…Be strong and of good courage, … for the LORD God, … will be with thee; he will not fail thee nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work…”
This promise, made to David, is on of many such promises in the Bible. Again, and again God assures His people that He will be with them. We can make these promises our own.
The great preacher, Spurgeon, wrote: “If there were an ant at the door of your granary begging, it would not ruin you to give him a grain of your wheat. You are but a tiny insect begging at the door of God’s all-sufficiency.”
The following poem expresses well the greatness of the God of precious promises.
We only see a little of the ocean,
A few miles from the rocky shore;
But, oh! out there beyond the horizon,
There’s more – there’s more.
We only see a little of God’s loving.
A few rich treasures from His mighty store,
But, oh! out there beyond life’s horizon,
There’s more – there’s more
