Proverbs 3:5a “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;”
One of our Sunday school teachers decorated her classroom in frogs during a fall promotion a few years ago. I couldn’t help but be nosey and look around the room to see what frogs had to do with motivating kids for God. I soon discovered frog was an acrostic for the phrase- Fully Rely On God. What an awesome way to teach us how to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;” – that is exactly what God wants us to do in our walk with Him. As young people begin to mature and realize the complexity and troubles of life, it will become increasingly clear exactly how much dependence we must have on the Lord. Humanly speaking, there is no possible way we can accomplish all that God wants us to in our own might. It is very easy to allow your youthful energy and vitality to cloud your mind into thinking you can do it all on your own. Don’t be deceived young person! Success in the Christian life will take nothing less than total reliance on Christ.
Fully= totally, completely, with all thine heart, in everyway
Rely= trust; earn on, depend on, rest upon
On= in, upon, about, claiming God’s promises
God= Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, Jehovah God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
