Just Delightfully You

Proverbs 11:1 “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”
This verse is talking about being deceptive. Weights and balances are what people would use to measure out goods.
Leviticus 19:35-36 “Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure. Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.”
God is not only telling us that we should be honest and forthright, but to be dishonest and deceptive is abomination. Teen don’t be deceptive when talking to your parents because to do so is abomination to the Lord. Don’t misrepresent yourself on social media. Don’t build yourself up to be something or someone that you actually aren’t. To allow someone else to do so is equally as bad. Those deceptions that we allow to procure popularity are abomination. Young person, you are who you are by God’s grace. Be truthful about who and what you are. The last part of that verse says a just weight is his delight. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Celebrate who and what God has made you because that brings the creator delight. God delights when He sees His creation fulfilling the role that He created them to fill. The word “just”: Suitable; exactly proportioned; proper. In a world where you can seem to be anything you want to be, choose to be legitimately who God created you to be. The sooner that we get comfortable being what God has made us to be, the sooner we can start fulfilling His plan for our lives. Be satisfied being just you. Just be you. Just delightfully you.
