Romans 10:14-15 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Can you think of one thing that you can NOT do in Heaven that’s NOT a sin?
How about telling the lost about Jesus? The most effective way a youth department, church, school, or any other ministry can grow is by leading the lost to the Lord!
Here’s a few facts about soul-winning:
1. It helps Someone else.
We pass by people on a daily basis that we do no know. They see us, we see them, and we often don’t say a word! Just think – how often is there someone on the OTHER side of the gas pump? How often is there someone else on the SAME aisle as us? How often do we wait in line with OTHER people? No one has the excuse of saying “Well, I don’t go anywhere or see anybody!” because they’re all around us! I firmly believe God blesses those little pieces of paper that we call “Gospel tracks.” He’ll use them to reach the right people at the right time. And most importantly, the Gospel can change someone’s eternal destiny. Soul-winning helps those that are lost. There’s no thought more encouraging than the fact that I can bring someone to Heaven with me. Share the Gospel with someone today!
2. It helps the Soul-winner.
Soul-winning is commanded in Scripture (Mark 16:15, 16). Therefore, as we witness for Christ, we are in obedience to the will of God. It is God’s will that those who are saved, share salvation. If we truly desire to make a difference, there’s no better way than by sharing the Gospel. How can we claim to be right with God and ignore one of God’s most vital commandments?
3. It helps in Satisfying God.
The Bible says in Romans 10:15, “How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace.” Do you want God to be satisfied with you? Preach the Gospel. Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Preach the Gospel. Do you want to change the world? Preach the Gospel. Do you want God to see something Beautiful? Preach the Gospel.
